Joni Mitchell: Hejira
Regarded by many to be the best Joni/Jaco collaboration, Hejira showcases Jaco’s lyrical bass lines along the same lines as “Continuum” and Zawinul’s “A Remark You Made”. This album was released the same year as Jaco’s solo album and many others he performed on with other artists, and was the first of four he performed on with Joni.

maravillosa
For me, this is some of the most beautiful and sublime of Jaco’s work(or is it play?). The droning underlying bass line is only enhanced by the ballet like dancing in the upper registers on “Amelia” and “Refuge Of The Road” is my favorite electric fretless bass recording of all time. Only his work on Pat Metheny’s “Bright Size Life” or Weather Report’s “Mr. Gone” comes close. Brilliant.
excelente!
My favorite!
this is the album that birngs me cold chills once and forever.
